The contact rubber is an accessory used when laying paving terraces on pedestals. This small wedge is positioned on the head of the pavingpedestals and helps to attenuate the resonance of the terrace as well as to compensate for differences in paving thickness.
While laying a paving terrace on a pedestal, it is preferable to opt for the optimization of its sound insulation. To do this, the use of contact rubber allows a reduction of noise and vibrations of the structure and thus attenuates resonances.
In addition, the contact rubber can also compensate for the differences in thickness of the tile pavings used. It can also be used for wedging.
The contact rubber is placed directly on the head of the paving pedestal: cutouts have been made to allow the 4 lugs present on the top of the pedestals to pass. No more dull noises when you move on the surface of the terrace, thanks to the application of contact rubber wedges, your terrace offers you optimal acoustic comfort.
