Board spacers are essential for the construction of your wooden or composite deck. Thanks to a regular spacing of the wooden boards, extend the life of your terrace on pedestal and benefit from an optimal aesthetic result. This accessory for laying wooden terraces on pedestals prevents natural movement of the wood, facilitates air circulation and provides good drainage of rainwater.
When laying a wooden terrace on a pedestal, some precautions need to be taken in order to obtain a satisfactory result. One of the most important points is the necessary spacing between each wooden plank. As such, it is imperative that the wooden boards be evenly spaced for a durable and solid construction.
Once the pedestals have been placed on the ground and the joists fixed on the pedestals, all that remains is to lay the wooden boards for your terrace. It is during this step that the board spacers come in: place the spacers between 2 wooden boards and tighten the boards. Then screw your wooden board covering into the joists located below. In a few minutes the trick is done, your boards are fixed and their spacing is regular.
The board spacers make it possible to achieve a spacing of 4 to 7 mm depending on the desired finish, the type of wood or even depending on the climate to which the terrace will be subject.
