Simplified site preparation

It all starts with the land that will host your future terrace. It must be perfectly flat and stable so that your structure can withstand the daily use that is made of it. This step should not be neglected since it allows your slab terrace on adjustable pedestal to remain in place no matter what happens.

If your land is grass, you will need to carry out a 15 cm deep excavation. You must then cover it with a geotextile felt that will prevent grass from growing back and protect your structure. Cover this protection with 15 cm of gravel before compacting the entire structure. Check the flatness of your ground with a spirit level. 1.        Once the site has been delineated and prepared properly, it is time to lay out the adjustable pedestals on the ground. You save time, since the pedestals do not need to be fixed. The height of the pedestal can be adjusted to the nearest millimeter using the adjustment ring under the head of this one. You are sure to have a straight terrace;
2.        Check the flatness of the structure using a spirit level. You can also count the number of revolutions of the adjustment ring so that all the pedestals are identical;
3.        You can lay the slabs on the 4 notches that make up the head of each tiled terrace pedestal. These allow the slab on pedestal and the structure of the terrace to be firmly set in place. The weight of the slab terrace on pedestal is sufficient to maintain the foundations without moving a single millimeter.

To reinforce the solidity of the construction, you can add a pedestal in the centre of each slab. Your terrace will thus be secured on a reliable foundation made of quality materials.

Resistant and durable

The adjustable pedestal slab terrace is resistant to crushing and weathering. Indeed, it withstands extreme temperatures (- 30°C to + 60°C) and atmospheric agents (frost and UV).
